1. Agreement to these terms
TradePace is provided by Northern Light. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms of Use. TradePace doesn't need an account or sign-up.
2. What TradePace is for
TradePace is a quoting, job-tracking, and materials-pricing tool for tradespeople. It helps you build quotes, estimate labour and materials costs, track jobs, and generate quote/invoice PDFs for your own clients.
TradePace is not financial, legal, accounting, or tax advice, and it doesn't check that your quotes or invoices meet any legal or regulatory requirement that applies to your trade or location. That responsibility stays with you.
3. Pricing and materials data
The material prices, labour-hour estimates, and job-type rates built into TradePace are provided as general UK-average guidance only. They are starting points, not guaranteed figures — actual prices vary by supplier, region, and time, and actual labour hours vary by job. Estimates that learn from your completed jobs are only as good as the jobs and figures you record.
Receipt scanning reads prices automatically and can misread a receipt. Always check scanned figures before you rely on them.
You're responsible for checking that any price or estimate is accurate and suitable before you send a quote or invoice to a client. You can edit any default rate, material price, or individual quote line at any time — the app is built to make that easy precisely because you shouldn't rely on the defaults without checking them.
Northern Light is not liable for any loss arising from a quote, invoice, or estimate produced using TradePace, including under-pricing, over-pricing, or a client dispute over a price you sent them.
4. Free version, Pro and subscriptions
The free version of TradePace lets you create up to 5 quotes and 5 invoices a month, with prices entered by hand. TradePace Pro unlocks everything else, including the built-in UK job list and rates, the learning pricing engine, the materials catalogue, site visits, travel pricing, receipt scanning, the customer list, and unlimited quotes and invoices.
Pro is a monthly or yearly subscription bought through your app store account (Apple App Store or Google Play). The price is shown in the app before you confirm. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before it ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your app store account's subscription settings, not inside TradePace.
New users may be offered a free trial of Pro (currently 14 days). If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it becomes a paid subscription automatically. Trials are for new subscribers only and the app store decides who is eligible.
If Pro ends, everything you've already saved stays on your device and you keep the free version's features.
5. Your responsibilities
You agree to use TradePace lawfully, to enter accurate information, and not to attempt to reverse-engineer, resell, or misuse the app or its data. Any agreement you make with your own clients — quotes, invoices, terms and conditions you set — is between you and them; TradePace is the tool, not a party to that agreement.
6. Your data
How TradePace handles your data — and your clients' data you enter into it — is covered in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
7. "As is" and limitation of liability
TradePace is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. While we test the app and aim to keep it reliable, we don't guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Northern Light's total liability to you for any claim relating to TradePace is limited to the amount you've paid for your subscription in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that can't be limited by law (for example for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud), or takes away any rights you have as a consumer that can't be excluded.
8. Changes to the app and these terms
We may update TradePace and these terms from time to time. If a change is significant, you'll be asked to review and accept the updated terms the next time you open the app.
9. Ending your use of TradePace
You can stop using TradePace and delete it at any time. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaches these terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and any dispute will be handled by the Scottish courts. If you live elsewhere in the UK and use TradePace as a consumer, you can also bring proceedings in the courts where you live.
